Member Testimonials

  • ASE’s special education conferences have created a valued professional support structure for me over the last several years... this is the only state conference designed for administrators to connect and learn about the ever-evolving landscape of special education. These meetings foster an environment of collaboration and professional growth, fueled by high-caliber speakers with insightful presentations sharing trends that significantly impact our districts. Beyond the formal learning, this conference facilitates meaningful connections and networking opportunities for all members in our field.

  • Belonging to the Massachusetts Administrators for Special Education (ASE) has been invaluable. The role of a special education director is both demanding and isolating at times, and ASE offers a much-needed network of colleagues who truly understand the challenges we face. The opportunities to connect, share resources and support one another have made a real difference in sustaining my effectiveness and well-being in this work.

  • The Massachusetts Administrators for Special Education (ASE) is the lead statewide association in Massachusetts dedicated to Advising and Advocating on all matters regarding special education with our state and federal leaders on behalf of special education administrators. M.A.S.S. is proud to have a long history of collaborating with ASE on special education laws and regulations. M.A.S.S. looks forward to continued collaboration with ASE as Massachusetts’s school districts and LEA special education departments support students with disabilities, their families and staff.

  • ASE has provided me valuable support and resources since I joined over twenty years ago when I was a new administrator of student services, responsible for students with special needs in a local school district. Over these many years I was also a member of the ASE statewide Executive Board. ASE excels at advocating for special education administrators in support of students with special needs at the statewide and federal level, working to ensure that students’ needs are met. ASE conferences provide cutting-edge information for administrators and practitioners, presented by education and special education leaders. Content includes information related to leadership, disabilities, the intersection of special and regular education, and federal and state regulations and laws. Membership in ASE provides opportunities for networking with colleagues across the state.
